Instructor: Rasha D. Sawaya, MD
Rasha Sawaya, M.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC), Lebanon. She is American Board Certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine after completing her training at Children's Medical Center at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas and at Children's Hospital of New York Presbyterian Hospital with the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, New York. She has authored several papers that have been published in peer-reviewed journals; most recently about Fluid and Electrolyte Abnormalities and Pediatric Septic Shock in Pediatric Emergency Medicine Reports. Her current role as Assistant Program Director of Emergency Medicine and Director of Pediatric Quality stems from her interest in global health and teaching and implementing Evidence-Based Medicine in different settings.
Instructor: Chady El Tawil, M.D.
Chady El Tawil MD is an Emergency Medicine Resident graduate, class of 2019, from the American University of Beirut Medical Center and will be starting a Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship at Montreal Children's Hospital and McGill University in 2020. He is a volunteer paramedic at the Lebanese Red Cross from which stems his interest in education and training of junior residents and paramedics.
Instructor: Diana Caroline Awad M.D.
Diana Caroline Awad, MD is a medical graduate, class of 2019, from the Lebanese University Medical School, Lebanon and currently a surgery intern at the same institution. Her interest is in pediatric pain management and pediatric trauma and in which she wishes to pursue her fellowship.

Elizabeth Kellerman, MSN, RN worked as a critical care nurse in an Intensive Care Unit of a community hospital and that experience provided significant training in caring for older adults. Her experience and knowledge led her to nursing education where she taught at a community college as she received her Master's in Nurse Education at Western Carolina University. As a nursing instructor, she spent time in many types of care settings including medical-surgical inpatient and community living centers. Her passion for education and training has most recently led her to a position as Subject Matter Expert and Curriculum Designer for Relias.
