This training introduces crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies in the context of the strength-based, person-centered, resolution-focused transformation of care for mobile crisis response in California. Participants will review readiness strategies for crisis intervention and de-escalation, including preparing for mobile crisis response calls, tips for determining optimum team composition, and pre-deployment protocols. Next, participants will explore arrival, engagement, and cross-systems collaboration strategies that support effective crisis intervention and de-escalation. Finally, participants will learn best practices for post-action debriefing and continuing improvement strategies.
