Florida Adverse Incidents Requirements

The state of Florida has specific regulations that guide the operation of assisted living and skilled nursing facilities on the delivery of care and services to residents of these facilities. One of these regulations pertains to adverse incidents and reporting requirements of these adverse incidents. This course discusses the guidelines provided by Florida statutes 400.147 and 429.23, Internal Risk Management and Quality Assurance Program for skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. It also discusses the differences between adverse events and incidents, what reports are required to be completed, and ways to prevent adverse events.
