This course provides an overview of the privacy and security rules as they apply to Behavioral Health Treatment. This overview includes information regarding HIPAA, privacy considerations and requirements, and the role of the Behavioral Wellness Compliance Program. The intent of this course is to ensure compliance with Federal and State health care regulations while providing ethical treatment to beneficiaries and their families. This course will also address how to apply privacy rules and will allow for participant discussion regarding current issues.
