Dr. Alina Vrinceanu-Hamm has practiced psychiatry at Southern Highlands Community Mental Health Center in Princeton, West Virginia, since 2002. She provides direct evaluation and psychopharmacological treatment of children, adolescents and adults with a variety of mental health, addiction diagnoses and intellectual disabilities. She provides Medication-Assisted Treatment for Alcohol and Opioid Use Disorder with buprenorphine, naltrexone and Vivitrol, as part of a multidisciplinary, bio-psycho-social approach to addiction treatment. She serves as the Medical Director.
Dr. Vrinceanu-Hamm is also a Physician Peer Reviewer with AllMed Healthcare Management, an Independent Review Organization, providing medical necessity determination decisions.
Dr. Vrinceanu-Hamm is Board Certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She completed psychiatric residency training and addiction fellowship at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Piscataway, New Jersey. She obtained her medical degree from Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania.

Jacob Helton, Psy.D., received his doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Marywood University in Pennsylvania. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at Chehalem Youth and Family Services in Newberg, Oregon, which included extensive training with at-risk youth and their families. He is licensed as a psychologist in Oregon and most recently worked in an integrated family medicine and internal medicine group for a large healthcare organization. Dr. Helton has worked in hospital, school, residential, and community mental health settings. He has provided treatment to clients across the lifespan and diagnostic spectrum, with an emphasis on the treatment of anxiety disorders, co-occurring medical and mental health disorders, ADHD, insomnia, severe and persistent mental illness, and the aging. He has experience as a technical writer and has provided numerous trainings to mental health professionals, physicians, allied professionals, and direct care staff.

The target audience for this course is: Behavioral Health Counselors; Marriage and Family Therapists; Medical Providers; Nursing Personnel; Psychologists; Social Workers; Substance Use and Behavioral Disorder Counselors; in the following settings: Community Mental Health Centers (CMHCs).
